About

“If stories come to you, care for them.
And learn to give them away where they are needed.
Sometimes a person needs a story more than food to stay alive.” – Barry Lopez
At the root of my work is story. I’m continually looking for new ways to communicate the stories that find me. Sometimes this is through painting and sometimes photography or digital manipulation in Photoshop, other times it’s a combination of the three.
I live in Roanoke, Virginia, with a ballerina daughter and two felines. It’s there that I try to create fictional worlds with mystery and hope, to share my belief that there truly is magic in the everyday. Folklore, fairy tales, and myths inspire me as do the quotes and poems that I gather like a magpie.
Thank you so much for stopping by.
